Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Contiki and Uniworld said they will be working closely with their key partners in Manila––Pan Pacific Travel and Rajah Travel––in ensuring that funds will be directed to key charities in the Philippines to assist survivors.
Nicholas Lim, president of the Travel Corporation (Asia), said the company hopes the act of involvement will help spur the rest of the travel trade to come to the aid of those who are most in need.
“It is really heart-breaking to see such devastation and destruction at this scale, and absolutely distressing watching survivors lose their family and loved ones,” he said. “Our heart goes out to the people of the Philippines, who have been so supportive and generous to us, and we at the Travel Corporation want to contribute and help make a difference during such a difficult time.”
