Buchan Consulting specialises in corporate and investor communications, stakeholder management, and business and economic policy. It provides strategy, advice and implementation to local and global clients in the private and public sectors and has been an affiliate of Waggener Edstrom since 2007.

Tom Buchan, founder and principal of Buchan Consulting, says the agency's partnership with Waggener Edstrom Worldwide started as a global alliance network affiliate in Australia. "We are pleased that it now expands into a direct investment that will benefit clients through greater global reach and bolster our capabilities and digital communications resources,” he added.

The investment in Buchan Consulting is part of the Waggener Edstrom'ss wider expansion strategy, opening new offices in Kenya, Belgium, India and South Africa over the past year.

“Buchan and Waggener Edstrom have been affiliates for over three years, so we are entering today’s deeper relationship with a solid track record of collaboration. Our companies have similar cultures and strong alignment in our core practices and value propositions, with complementary capabilities that meet increasing demand for services around digital communications and social innovation,” said David Ko, executive vice president of Waggener Edstrom Asia-Pacific.
