Xiklab Digital expands to Myanmar and Singapore

Agency says its pool of digital-savvy talent in the Philippines gives it an advantage in serving Southeast Asia.

Xiklab Digital expands to Myanmar and Singapore

Philippines-based Xiklab Digital has launched operations in Myanmar and Singapore.

The independent, formed by the merger of Snapworx Digital with former Havas property Mobext last year, aims to be "one of the best creative digital marketing agencies in the Southeast Asian region, according to Arthur Policarpio, co-founder and group CEO.

"Xiklab Digital's unique competitive advantage lies in our big pool of high-caliber digital talent based in the Philippines," Policarpio said in a release. "Aside from the cost advantages offered by the competitive labor costs in the country, the Philippines is a relatively sophisticated digital and social market in Southeast Asia, thus giving our digital talent extensive experience and expertise that can be exported to the rest of the region."

The Myanmar operation, Hello Xiklab Yangon (HXY), is a joint venture with the Myanmar Golden Star Group (MGS), a conglomerate involved in many businesses, from beverages to banking to rubber manufacturing.

"HXY digital marketing services will be launched in Myanmar under the 'Xiklab Digital' brand, and will provide its complete range of services to the MGS Group of companies, as well as other clients outside the group," said Bingo Soriano, Xiklab Digital CEO for International.

The agency plans to invest "more aggressively" in its Singapore operation, which already works with clients including Ricola and Parkway Hospitals. Xiklab also works with Singapore-based partner agencies who outsource content production, social-media management and other services to Xiklab's Philippines hub, Xiklab said.
