According to the agency’s website, Yu has been with Bates 141 since 1995, moving up the ranks to lead more than 500 staff in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi’an and Taipei.

Assuming Yu’s duties in China is chairman of Bates 141 Asia-Pacific, Jeffrey Yu (pictured). According to the spokeswoman, his expanded duties include the full management of Bates 141’s operations in the mainland.

According to the agency’s website, Jeffrey Yu has maintained a focus on China in the past, helping to take Bates China from a 15-person operation to a national activation agency able to service key clients including Shanghai General Motors and Nokia China. He assumed his regional role in 2000.

The spokeswoman added that Jeffrey Yu will assume these duties for the time being but changes to Bates 141’s China management can be expected in the near future.
