Coffee brand pitches creative in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Indonesia's largest-selling coffee brand Kapal Api has called a creative pitch involving five agencies.

Reports suggest that Ogilvy & Mather, Dentsu Strat, TBWA and incumbents DM Pratama and Ad City have been invited to pitch for the account.

A family-owned coffee brand, Kapal Api started off as an unbranded coffee in Indonesia 1927. Owned by Santos Jaya Abadi, the brand is a market leader in Indonesia and also has a presence in other Southeast Asian countries.

The parent company produces other popular coffee brands such as ABC, Good Day, Ya & Kapten and Excelso in the Indonesian market.
