The appointment will see the two agencies overseeing through-the-line initiatives covering advertising, brand activation, point-of-sale marketing (POSM), promotions and digital for the two brands across five Southeast Asia markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and The Philippines.

Effective September, the account will be held by Grey Group for a 24-month period. Grey DPI's Hong Kong office is collaborating with Grey Singapore on the accounts.

Leonardo Perrone de Almeida, marketing director at Ferrero SEA, noted that Southeast Asia is an important region for the brand as it is a huge engine of growth in its business development in Asia.

“We are confident that we have handed over our Southeast Asia business for two key brands in the capable and experienced hands of professional brand strategists,” said Perrone de Almeida.

Ferrero and Grey Group have established partnerships in the region, with Grey Group managing creative duties for Ferrero in India while Grey DPI handles its shopper marketing initiatives in Hong Kong.

Grey DPI is headquartered in Hong Kong and operates offices in Guangzhou and Shanghai, with marketing capabilities include shopper-based design, retail space design, merchandising systems design, experiential design and environmental design.

“We continue to further entrench our cross-functional offerings across the region, and it underscores our capabilities as a full-service agency to deliver effective ideas across channels,” said Nirvik Singh, chairman and CEO of Grey Group Asia Pacific.
