The business win also sees DDB Guoan Beijing take charge of the digital development for Grand Sun’s premium brand 233621, a noise reduction headphone line. Grand Sun does not have an incumbent agency in China.

The advertising plans will involve trade promotion and consumer launches at the end of Q3.

DDB Guoan also scooped the Baixiang (White Elephant) account in June. According to sources, the agency will launch the brand in five new provinces in China. Responsibilities include brand management and product development.

“Developing our local client relationships, for both project and retainer accounts, is a core aspect of our business objectives,” said managing director Richard Tan at DDB Guoan Beijing.
