Louis Cheng rejoins GroupM as managing partner

SHANGHAI - Louis Cheng has rejoined GroupM China today in the newly created position of managing partner, business management.

Cheng (pictured) will initially support Dominic Ng, managing partner at MediaCom China on the AB InBev account.

Cheng is a media veteran from Hong Kong with over 25 years' experience in the media industry working across China, Hong Kong and Canada. He has handled numerous blue chip accounts including Coca-Cola, HSBC, IBM, Motorola, Nestle, Nike and Unilever.

Prior to rejoining GroupM China, Cheng worked as an independent consultant to media vendors on business financing, acquisition and expansion. From 2004 to 2006, he was managing partner of Portland China (now Kinetic under GroupM).

Cheng will provide strategic business support to GroupM agencies across their key business accounts, and reports to Bessie Lee, CEO of GroupM China in Shanghai.

"I am very pleased to have Louis back in the GroupM family. Louis’ proven record in business and vendor management will further strengthen GroupM’s talent pool,” said Lee.
