In his new position, Yang will focus on broadening the domestic client base and strengthening Ruder Finn’s practices in "ePR", corporate social responsibility, and insight.

Yang will report to Elan Shou, managing director and senior vice president of Ruder Finn China.

Yang has honed his PR and communications skills in Ruder Finn Beijing for close to a decade. His assignments have covered a wide range of industries including aviation and logistics, automotive, energy, finance, healthcare, and travel and tourism.

From 2008 to 2011, Paul headed Ruder Finn Beijing’s corporate practice and substantially grew the client portfolio by adding several fast-growing Chinese brands such as Citic Bank, Li Ning and the Founder Group, which the agency won last year.

“I am extremely happy to have Paul head the Beijing office. His passion, experience and commitment were certainly a key in the continuing success and growth of our practices in Beijing,” Shou said.

Yang said that in his time at Ruder Finn he has seen the Beijing office grow from just 30 staff to more than 100. “I am thrilled to have been part of this growth and to have the opportunity to bring it to the next level."

Yang replaced Liu rejoined Ruder Finn in June 2010 after an initial stint with the agency from 2001 to 2007 working as an account director. He resigned late last year. Prior to rejoining Ruder Finn, Liu was interim head of communications as Vestas China and PR and communications director for the Accor Group.
