BEIJING - Theresa Loo (pictured) returns to Ogilvy to take up a training role after leaving her last job as MEC's director of strategic planning, analytics and insight.

In her new role, Loo is responsible for developing professional knowledge and skills training programmes for O&M China staff. She will also lead Ogilvy Advanced Learning, a unit launched in 2011 to provide strategic brand consultancy and coaching services to Chinese corporations.

Prior to her last job at MEC, which she left at the end of June, she served as business director at Research International and group account director for Unilever at O&M Advertising Shanghai.

Loo succeeds Sandy Ng, who moved on to become managing director of Raynet Ogilvy China in January this year.

On top of her agency experience, Loo is also active in academic circles. She holds a PhD in
marketing from Manchester Business School in the UK and is a visiting scholar to a number of
universities in Shanghai.

Shenan Chuang, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Greater China, said training is "sacred", particularly in a fast-changing business environment.

"[Loo] has inspiring views on training that will allow staff to reach their full potential, pre-empt the market and meet clients’ ever-evolving needs,” Chuang said.
