Vandewalle (pictured) will be tasked to drive further the digital network's positive momentum in the region. He will have particular focus on the fast growing Chinese market where he will be MD of Publicis Modem China, in addition to his regional duties.

Chenghua Yang, managing director at Publicis Shanghai/Guangzhou says the shift of focus and relocation to China is due largely to the greater business opportunities available in China, as compared to Southeast Asia.

Formerly CEO of Publicis Modem France, Vandewalle is a recognised digital thought leader and entrepreneur. He co-founded leading French digital marketing agency Wcube in 2000. Under his leadership, Wcube became one the leading web agencies in France and was acquired by Publicis in 2007.

Meanwhile, Vivian Yeung, former general manager at Publicis Modem has just joined Dentsu Singapore as head of digital solutions. Yang explained that Rayne Chow, GM of Publicis Beijing will be taking Yang’s role.
