The agency has already appointed some senior executives on the business, including global group account director Daniel Cullen, who has joined the agency from BBH London. The agency is also looking to hire at least five new creatives and six new client service executives for the business. In all the agency is seeking to appoint at least 20 people to take take care of global and regional businesses based out of Singapore.
Marco Milesi (pictured), the new CEO of Lowe Singapore who took over the role from Bryan Easton in September, called the Clear consolidation with Lowe Singapore "a strong message of trust" for the local agency, which will work both as originators of campaigns as well as coordinators of work produced by other agencies in the Lowe network globally.
“It all started with the client moving to Singapore. In the first phase we brought in client service and planning leadership. And then it's been a natural evolution. We need the full team here to attend the needs of a global brand.”
Regional businesses that Lowe handles out of Singapore include Knorr and Electrolux.
The agency has also seen the arrival of Sreeja Chaterjee, who has been relocated from Lowe India to handle Knorr regional business.
Milesi said that putting Lowe Singapore back onto the map is now a priority. “The fact that we will operate at a global stage is absolutely defining for us: first, because it will allow us to attract world-class talent, and in January we will be able to announce a number of new high level hires; second, because it will force us to think beyond the national or even the regional frontiers.”
Milesi said that Lowe Singapore is in the process of boosting its digital capabilities and is in the process of hiring a new digital business head in January. It is also operating in a partnership with Arachnid, a well-known digital shop in Malaysia.
