The New York-headquartered company will be led by Stephane Alpern and has hired three people. However, it will be adding more people in the next few months, Alpern confirmed.
Although the company has been doing work in the region for several years, Singapore is its first office. “We are a strategic insight and innovation consultancy that helps clients unlock new sources of growth through expertise in foresight and futures that indentifies trends that shape the future,” Alpern said.
The Futures Company is also interested in setting up satellite offices in key countries in the region—a model it followed in Latin America where it launched a few years ago.
The consultancy works with multinational companies in FMCG, automotive, technology and financial services. Alpern declined to name clients in the region.
The Futures Company was formed through the integration of The Henley Centre, HeadlightVision, Yankelovich and more recently, Tru. Apart from Singapore, the company operates in New York; Chapel Hill, North Carolina; San Francisco; Chicago; Sao Paulo; Buenos Aires; and Mexico City.
