The new entity, called PT Wunderman Pamungkas Indonesia, partners with digital veterans Tommy Prastowo and Rahadian Nugraha Agung to offer full service digital marketing and CRM solutions.

With extensive digital marketing experience in Indonesia, Prastowo and Agung join as general manager and head of planning and strategy, respectively.

The joint venture is part of the agency’s strategy to accelerate its development in Indonesia by setting up its own operation. Wunderman made its first foray into Indonesia in 2009, establishing a digital division under the Y&R Group in Jakarta, where Agung was the lead for about two years.

The existing team of 20 staff and the client portfolio has been transferred to the new entity. This appointment also marks Agung's return to the agency.

“We have strong foundations and a diverse portfolio of clients to build one of the most innovative digital and CRM agencies in Jakarta,” Prastowo said. Wunderman's key existing clients include Ford, Nokia and Microsoft.

“After launching our Philippines operation last year, Indonesia has been our key focus,” said Stephane Faggianelli, president of Wunderman Asia-Pacific. “It [the joint venture] will accelerate our development in Indonesia. This is a key growth market for our clients and a strategic initiative to reinforce our footprint in this market.”

Wunderman and Agenda also opened new offices in Guangzhou last year, bringing the span of the network's offices in China to six locations in three cities. In June, Agenda expanded its presence in the region by launching a new office in Bangkok.
