Youth Olympics appoints Brand Union

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee has appointed The Brand Union Singapore as its branding agency-of-record following a three-month pitch process.

Youth Olympics appoints Brand Union
The Ogilvy subsidiary is charged with developing a brand identity for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games that will be held in Singapore August next year. Among its duties, The Brand Union will manage the overall ‘look of the Games’, which includes the design of key graphics and pictograms.

It has already worked with the Committee to launch an official logo for the event.

The announced win came two weeks after The Singaporean Government issued a tender for the construction of a virtual world website for the Games, worth SG$5 million (US$3.3 million).

Singapore won the bid to host the Youth Olympics Games last year over nine other cities. The event is poised to draw 3,600 athletes and 800 officials from across the globe into Singapore.
