OMD Taiwan appoints GroupM alumnus Jason Chen as general manager

OMD has welcomed back Jason Chen as general manager for its Taiwan office. Chen, who previously held key roles within the organisation, will report directly to Kelly Huang, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Taiwan.

Chen rejoins the OMG network from GroupM where he was head of investment and partnership. After leaving OMG in 2018, he also had stints at Ainotam, Dentsu and D.Vibe Digital. He replaces Yamei Chang, who left the agency in 2023.

In his current role, Chen’s mandate is clear: to lead the team in leveraging international resources, cutting-edge technology, and analytical tools. His focus will be on enhancing OMD’s market position and fostering talent growth. Additionally, he aims to develop approaches that align with the agency’s branding.

“Jason’s demonstrated expertise in client management, business operations, and digital strategy presents a significant advantage for OMD in Taiwan, especially as we capitalise on emerging opportunities to explore new possibilities for our clients,” said Charlotte Lee, chief executive of OMD Asia Pacific.

“His recruitment aligns with our ambition to accelerate growth through digital leadership, business transformation, and a connected culture."
