PHD China hires new digital leader

SHANGHAI - PHD China has added seasoned Norwegian digital leader and marketer Lars Bjørge to its team, in the newly-created role of digital strategy director

Bjørge reports to Mark Heap, CEO, PHD China in the position which became effective today. He will be responsible for further developing and strengthening PHD's digital platform‟s value-proposition for its clients as well as internal staff training in the digital front.

PHD hired Bjørge from OgilvyOne China, where he was the digital lead for just over a year.  Over his 16 years of experience in the digital advertising industry, he has worked with brands in a wide range of sectors, including telecommunications, finance, logistics, automotive, GMCG, and travel.

His CV also includes a number of senior positions at Omnicom agencies in Norway. Bjørge was managing director of Proximity BBDO and also Tribal DDB Oslo. Under Bjørge‟s leadership, Tribal DDB was recognised as a leading Norwegian digital agency, winning several awards including digital campaign of the year.

PHD China says it has added around 40 new digitally-focused positions over the last two years.

Unilever, Standard Chartered Bank, HGP, Siemens, Porsche are among PHD China’s key clients currently.
