The executive movements are said to be a part of a management consolidation plan at DDB including the formation of a China Executive Committee chaired by Dick van Motman, president and CEO, Michael Dee, chief creative officer, Nee Chuan Teo, chief financial officer, Tan and Lin.
“Richard’s appointment reinforces our commitment to DDB Guoan. It’s time to replicate the phenomenal growth we have witnessed in Shanghai and Beijing. I can’t think of a better person to do the job,” said Motman.
Tan joins DDB from Euro RSCG where he was vice-chaiman of Greater China. He also played a big part in the development of the agency's digital arm Euro RSCG 4D.
