Based in Shanghai, Macbeth relocates from the Carribean where she was the head of brand and marketing for Digicel, the regions largest telecoms operator.

She is charged with overseeing unification in thinking and planning for clients at Saatchi and Saatchi. Key markets under her management include Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

Macbeth said the move from a very basic market like the Cayman Islands to a very sophisticated market like Asia is both exciting and challenging.

“With clients like Procter & Gamble, Kraft, Lexus and HP to name a few, there are many strategic challenges for us to help solve as we grow together in China,” she said. She will also be pushing the digital growth of Saatchi & Saatchi in Greater China.

Macbeth counts positions as the head of advertising and design at Orange and brand communications manager at Lloyds TSB in the UK among her experience.

Justin Billingsley, Saatchi & Saatchi Greater China CEO, added: “There are two very exciting aspects to this appointment. The first is that Rachel brings with her experience as a brand owner, a recognised track record of creative excellence, and deep insights into some of the critical industries for us as an agency.”
