Red2 Digital has been appointed as Reebok's social-media agency of record in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

The appointment comes after a competitive pitch against multiple undisclosed agencies. There was no incumbent. The agency's Ho Chi Minh City office will lead the work, which includes content creation, creative development, analytics and CRM. The first work went live in June.

The Boston-based brand is looking to increase its presence in APAC and specifically in Southeast Asia. It wants to inspire more people to take the first steps toward fitness, a journey that "starts on digital and social media“, Henry Quek, commercial director for SEA, said in a release. The agency shares the company's vision and complements its "high-performance culture", he added.

"The promise of social media is that we can talk to exactly the right people at the right time," said Luke Janich, the agency's CEO, adding that the partners aim to build an active and engaged community around the brand.
