Campaign US has announced its all-new editorial team.

New Campaign US editor Luz Corona joins from Adweek after an impactful four-year tenure at the advertising publication.

While at Adweek, Corona led Voice, the thought leadership and contributed content section that tackled trending moments and business challenges impacting the ad industry. She also co-hosted the now sunsetted flagship podcast, Yeah, That’s Probably An Ad, and was a core member of the publication’s editorial leadership team.

Prior to Adweek, she worked on the ad agency side in digital media buy and content production at major holding companies including Omnicom, Publicis and Interpublic.

“After having a front-row seat to the developments and business challenges affecting the ad industry for the past 10 years on both ad agency and publisher side, I am excited to lead this exceptional team at Campaign US,” said Corona.

“We bring forth different areas of expertise, interests and lived experiences that will reflect the world we face today. There is a natural curiosity in all of us to report on the different sectors that impact the industry.”

Corona is joined by former Adweek colleague Leslie Blount as senior reporter on the team. Blount began her Adweek career in events and marketing before transitioning to the editorial team as a freelance reporter.

Through a lens of culture and creativity, Blount interviewed and wrote regularly trending stories on major brands and entrepreneurial ventures of high-profile celebrities Carmelo Anthony and Megan Thee Stallion.

Cecilia Garzella joins as the team’s data journalist. Garzella comes from USA Today and will produce regular commentary and data interpretation in stories for Campaign’s global audience, with the main focus on North America. Her work will support Campaign Red, the brand’s global insights, analysis and data content service for premium subscribers.

Rounding out the team are reporters Julia Walker and Emma Thumann, who will cover areas of focus including the creator economy, business of ad agencies, emerging tech and more. The team overall will report on the major business and cultural challenges that directly impact American advertising.

“Luz has assembled a remarkable team of talented journalists in super-quick time and I am genuinely excited to see what they are about to create in establishing Campaign on the same level in the U.S. as it is in Europe, Asia and the rest of the world,” said Steve Barrett, VP, editorial director of Campaign US.

Campaign already has a significant presence in the U.K., Asia, India and Canada, and operates via partnerships in the Middle East, Germany and Turkey. More global expansion is on the horizon.
